Walking along Reut

A one-day and very eventful hike through the most beautiful places along the Reut River.

We will pass through a number of settlements: Rogozheny, Tsyru, Chenushu, Gindeshty, Styrcheny, Varvareuku, Floresti. The villages here stand out from other Moldovan villages both in their views and in their buildings. In addition to local life, we will also study several ancient monuments, the heart of Tsyra (drawn by Reut himself), abandoned Christian cemeteries, a cave and a century-old metal bridge, a typical outbuilding for the area - bashke. It is found in all villages in the area, but nowhere else in Moldova.

Bashke is used mainly as a summer kitchen; it is built on a slope, skillfully using the hilly terrain. And much more - it certainly won’t be boring!

For the trip, it is important to take the following things: a backpack for personal belongings, a rug/mat/foam, basic shoes and flip-flops, a sun hat or buff, sunglasses, sunscreen, a personal first aid kit, personal hygiene items, a mug, a spoon and a plate.
